Upcoming Trips
During a recent Early Response Trained (ERT) assistance trip to Port Charlotte, Florida, RUMC member, Leonard Scarboro, joined a neighboring church to gather information and better understand the needs and process for RUMC to provide support and volunteers. During this recently completed trip the team assisted 6 separate homeowners with Hurricane Ian recovery - both physically and mentally. The NGUMC has a list of over 70 (currently 2500+ in the Naples, Port Charlotte and surrounding region) pleas for assistance. These sites have been appraised and there is opportunity to provide the help that is desperately needed.
Stay tuned for trip dates and more information as we plan to spread God's love in these communities. We hope you will consider the opportunity to join a trip to Florida.
There will be an ERT certification class on 11/12/2022 at Due West UMC. Contact Leonard at leonardscarboro@gmail.com or Scott Parrish at scott.parrish@ngumc.net for information.
